FINAL DECLARATION

THE FINAL DECLARATION OF

THE 8TH INTERNATIONAL CREATION CONGRESS IN THE LIGHT OF SCIENCES

We strongly condemn the deplorable attack on TUSAŞ, -the apple of our country's defense industry- in Kahramankazan the day before our congress.

As many speakers stated during the congress, a genocide is taking place in Palestine and Lebanon, where civilians, children and innocents are cruelly being massacred, which is inhumanely and incompatible with the law of war. We pray for the God’s blessings for those who lost their lives in these painful events and curse the Zionist gang and their supporters. We wish that these inhumane practices be stopped as soon as possible; that diplomatic channels be rapidly used for that purpose and that consciences do not remain silent about these crimes and protest vehemently in the name of humanity.

The first of the International Creation Congresses in Light of Sciences, which was organized jointly by Harran and Üsküdar Universities in Şanlıurfa in 2017, was held for the second time in 2018 at Atatürk University, the third time in 2019 at Iğdır University, the fourth and fifth times in 2020-2021 at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, the sixth time in 2022 at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, the seventh time in 2023 at Bitlis Eren University, and the eighth time in 2024 hosted by Üsküdar University.

Throughout the 8th International Creation Congress in Light of Sciences, which lasted for three days papers were presented in scientific fields such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Physics, Medicine, Computer and Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Astrophysics, Geology, Sociology, History of Religions, Art History, International Relations, Fundamental Islamic Sciences, Philosophy, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Literature, Linguistics, Anthropology, Education, and Psychology.

The main purpose of these creation congresses is to read and interpret the book of the universe, which is the subject matter of various sciences but also the work of the Creator, from the perspective of creation by means of papers presented by scientists, who are expert in their fields. In this way, it will be possible to contribute to the horizon of thought of the scientific community, to prevent the inaccurate presentation of the view of evolution as scientific knowledge, and to strengthen our national and spiritual values with scientific data.

Having confirmed the final papers of the previous congresses, the following determinations were made, and the following decisions were taken:

1. The religion of Islam does not conflict with science. The idea that "religion and science are separate" is the product of a materialist philosophy. The conflict between science and religion, the disagreement between reason and revelation does not belong to the Islamic civilization. Because the subject matter of sciences is the book of the universe, which is the work of Allah's attribute of Omnipotence. The Qur’an is the word of Allah and the interpretation of the book of the universe. There can be no contradiction or conflict between them. Because both of them are the books of Allah. As it is understood from many verses and hadiths, the religion of Islam gives great importance to science and scientists.

2. The world of science has been under the influence of materialist philosophy for about 200 years. Materialist philosophy does not look at scientific data holistically. It sees all beings in the universe as coincidences, as the works of nature and causes, and accepts only the knowledge of substances that enter the laboratory as scientific data. In this philosophical view, the human soul, feelings and thoughts are not taken into consideration. However, science alone is not enough to understand the creation of the universe and man. For this, holistic thinking is needed. In other words, the truth of creation should be evaluated within the framework of the methods of science, considering both the meaning and the matter.

3. Science examines the God's works of art in the universe. In today's scientific community, the creator is generally hidden in the presentation of information obtained from the universe; causes are presented directly as the agent who does the work. In the Creation Congresses, it has been expressed that scientific data needs to be evaluated holistically; that it is necessary to pay attention to the God as the agent in the act, the artist in the art, and the master in the work.

4. Creation is universal and general. Scientific data regarding the emergence of all living and non-living beings show that the God is capable of creating in all kinds. The Creator can create a being in certain processes, as well as in an instant without a cause. Creation within the framework of causes is the manifestation of the God's names and the necessity of His wisdom.

5. There is a confusion of concepts and information pollution regarding evolution and creation. Everyone understands and means evolution differently. Evolution is a concept that is presented with nearly thirty terms with different meanings. Some of them express change, alteration and differentiation. These are not theories, but laws. Evolution, which states that one species emerges from another by chance or spontaneously, is a philosophical view that is not based on any evidence. In this respect, the terminology related to evolution must be understood correctly.

6. In all stages of education, educational materials and books should be prepared with a holistic perspective, language and style that considers matter and meaning together. It should be emphasized in educational materials and textbooks that all beings in the universe are the work of a Creator who has infinite knowledge, will and power. Thus, it will be understood that there is no purposelessness and lack of wisdom in anything from atoms to galaxies. This  in turn will bring about the enlightening of minds, the satisfaction of consciences and the  illumination of hearts. A young person who receives this type of education will know that (s)he is not aimless and adrift, and that (s)he has a Creator; (s)he will understand that all blessings are sent by Him, he will be aware that he is not ownerless and will experience the happiness of taking refuge in a God who is with him in all kinds of troubles and sorrows and who has a say in everything. The way to save our young people from bigotry and doubts that lead them to disbelief depends on an education that is provided with a holistic perspective. Therefore, in books, articles and documentaries that explain the structures and perfections of beings in the universe, a monotheistic language should be used as the language of science, which is in line with a holistic perspective and compatible with our cultural values .

7. Books written based on the papers presented in the Creation Congresses in the Light of Sciences have a vital importance in the education of young people. The papers presented in these congresses have a significant impact in eliminating the doubts caused by the increasing ideas such as Darwinism, secularism and deism in young generations. It has been recommended that books be written from the perspective of the papers presented in the congresses held so far.

8. Preparing projects and theses to understand creation. It has been stated that scientists who are devoted to the Creation Congress - especially in the fields of the Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences - should direct master's and doctoral theses to understand creation, give courses explaining the truths of creation at undergraduate or graduate levels, and support scientific publications and projects.

9. It has been deemed appropriate to continue doing academic activities like panels and conferences related to creation.

10. In line with the decisions taken in previous congresses, it was recommended that Creation Congresses in the Light of Sciences should be held every year.

11. It was deemed appropriate to prepare and publish right away a Creation Manifesto based on the data and knowledge accumulated so far.
